White Knight Renew - Painting Tile & Laminate

Painting kitchen and bathroom surfaces requires a system approach. Surfaces such as ceramic tiles, laminate and porcelain are dense and non-porous, meaning correct preparation and priming is critical to ensure adhesion and durability.

White Knight Renew products are specifically formulated to work together, from cleaning and surface preparation through to priming, painting and protection, ensuring a professional, long-lasting finish across kitchens, bathrooms and laundries.

All surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned prior to coating. Contaminants such as grease, soap residue and surface build-up will prevent adhesion and lead to coating failure.

Use White Knight Renew Tile & Laminate Cleaner to remove grease and soap scum from ceramic tiles and laminate surfaces. Apply, allow to act on stubborn contaminants and rinse thoroughly before allowing the surface to dry.

Repeat the cleaning process as required to ensure all contamination is removed before priming.

After cleaning, surfaces must be prepared to promote adhesion:

• Lightly sand laminate and previously coated surfaces to create a suitable key

• Ensure all dust is removed before coating

• Treat mould with bleach solution (1:3 ratio) where present

• Ensure surfaces are completely dry prior to priming

On tubs and basins, thorough sanding to remove all surface gloss is critical to ensure adhesion.
