White Knight Rust Guard Fish Oil is a rust inhibiting formulation that actively penetrates rust scale to remove moisture, forming a protective coating on metal.

Ideal for use in inaccessible rust prone areas such as joints, cracks and crevices.

AEROSOL:

  • KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
  • Soak any clothes used in water immediately after use as they may self ignite.
  • If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show the container or label. Do not induce vomiting.
  • If in eyes, immediately flush with running water for at least 15 minutes. Seek immediate medical attention.
  • Avoid breathing vapour or mist.
  • Use only with adequate ventilation.
  • If on skin, remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Do not use solvents of thinners. Seek medical advice if irritation persists.
  • Warning - Misuse by concentrating and inhaling contents can be harmful or fatal.

  • KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
  • This product is highly flammable. Store and use away from heat and eliminate any source of ignition.

Caution

HIGHLY FLAMMABLE. KEEP AWAY FROM FLAME AND HEAT AND ELIMINATE ANY SOURCE OF IGNITION. Keep in a cool place and out of sun. Contents under pressure. Do not puncture or incinerate this can, even when empty.

Environment

AEROSOL:

  • Residual aerosol paint should be sprayed onto newspaper, allowed to dry and disposed of via domestic waste collections.
  • Empty aerosol cans are recyclable via steel can recycling programs.

BRUSH ON:

  • Do not pour unwanted paint down the drain.
  • Keep unwanted paint in sealed containers for disposal via special chemical waste collections.

 

Preparation

AEROSOL:

  • Remove all loose material and rust scale.
  • Thoroughly clean the surface with mineral turps.
  • The surface must be clean, dry and free from grease, dirt and other contaminants.
  • Cover surrounding areas to protect from overspray.

BRUSH ON:

  • Remove all loose material and rust scale.

Application

AEROSOL:

  1. Shake can vigorously for 1 minute before use and regularly during use.
  2. Hold the can upright approximately 15-20cm from the surface and press button firmly.
  3. For hard to reach areas, place the extension tube firmly into the centre of the spray nozzle. This will allow accurate application to desired surface.
  4. Apply sufficient amounts of Fish Oil to completely saturate the surface and penetrate well into all crevices.

Do not use when air or surface temperature is below 15°C or above 30°C

BRUSH ON:

  1. Stir thoroughly before use.
  2. Apply liberal amounts of Fish Oil by brush to completely saturate the surface.
  3. Allow Fish Oil to penetrate well into all crevices.
  4. Overcoating is not recommended.

Do not use when air or surface temperature is below 10°C or above 30°C

Coverage

AEROSOL: Approximately 1.5m² per can.

BRUSH ON: Approximately 10m² per litre.

Drying

AEROSOL:  48 hours. Re-coat after 7 days.

Drying will be slower in cold or humid conditions, in the absence of ventilation or where heavy film builds are applied.

Clean Up

AEROSOL: To prevent nozzle blocking, after use turn can upside down and press button until only gas escapes.

Overspray can be removed while still wet with White Knight Rust Guard Solvent or mineral turps.

BRUSH ON: Clean brushes and equipment with White Knight Rust Guard Solvent or mineral turps immediately after use.

Hints and Tips
  • Use White Knight Rust Guard Fish Oil to protect areas that can not be painted by conventional means such as seems or inside box sections.
  • Use a drop sheet to cover objects from overspray. Overspray can travel long distances so make sure you cover a wide area.
  • Use masking tape or newspaper to prevent paint from going on areas you don't want it to.
  • Have lots of rags handy for any cleaning.
